New Cisco network at key manufacturing facility
Project Summary
CNS were engaged to replaced a flat layer 2 multi-vendor network with a managed, structured Cisco network in a collapsed backbone and access layer design catering for approximately 500 users. The network featured a high performance server farm, secure wireless network coverage throughout the factory floor, a MPLS link to a remote site with a several load-shared ADSL circuits as backup, firewall protection from the Internet and third party suppliers, IPSec dial-in and site-site VPNs, and a DMZ hosting web and email servers. The project was delivered on time and within budget with no disruption to users, with the customer reporting significant performance and reliability improvements.
