Llanerch Vineyard is a long established business which was purchased in 2010 by Ryan Davies, a young entrepreneur w
ith a vision. Originally the site of a working farm since the 18th Century, it is one of the the oldest vineyards in Wales.
Since re-opening in 2010 the company has grown in terms of its commercial offerings. Firstly as a working Vineyard, the property was quickly transformed into a bistro restaurant, with accommodation and bars.
To enhance the Llanerch experience TV personality Angela Grey opened a cookery school and the site also offers afternoon tea, wine tasting, a sports lodge for functions and a much sought after wedding marquee.
With 7 acres of vineyards producing award-winning wines and 2 highly regarded restaurants, Llanerch is a widely known venue within Wales and further afield.
Offering a unique and stylish 5 star experience, it was vital to ensure that the infrastructure and systems mirrored the exceptional service provided by Llanerch with a high level of performance, usability and customer satisfaction.
With such significant expansion plans, it was determined that the existing IT solution was no longer fit for purpose, with many suppliers offering disparate services whilst not having the required knowledge or experience to meet the needs of the business.
CNS was selected as the preferred partner due to the extensive experience designing and supporting Cisco solutions, the company accreditations and the local proximity to Llanerch.

Through working with Ryan, and understanding his vision for the vineyard, CNS was able to design a solution bespoke to Llanerch’s needs.
Building upon a small Cisco network, it was clear that demand was very much outweighing the capabilities of the existing solution. The CNS network team designed a scalable, high performance network that would facilitate rapid growth whilst minimising any initial disruption to Llanerch.
Upgrading the ADSL connection to a leased line was one of the key requirements to enable enough bandwidth to service the increased number staff and guests, with an FTTC connection for additional resilience.
CNS also secured the network by isolating the corporate network from guest access. This increased network functionality has provided a secure and reliable internal network for the growing business.
